Career Summary

NoFrillsCloud is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our remote team.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in cloud and web hosting technologies as well as the LAMP stack. They will also be committed to delivering excellent customer service through our Helpdesk and Live Chat platforms.


  • Provide web hosting support to customers via Helpdesk and Live Chat.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OS, web servers, PHP, MySQL, MariaDB, and DNS.
  • Assist in debugging website issues, PHP errors, and performance problems.
  • Familiarize with and support cPanel & WHM as well as WordPress environments.
  • Perform website migrations from other hosting providers to NoFrillsCloud.


  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support role, ideally focused on web hosting.
  • Familiarity with OS including CentOS, AlmaLinux, CloudLinux, and Ubuntu.
  • Experience with web servers such as Apache, OpenLiteSpeed, and LiteSpeed Enterprise.
  • Knowledgeable in PHP, MySQL, and MariaDB.
  • Some experience with PowerDNS and email configurations including Dovecot, Exim, Postfix, rspamd, and SpamAssassin.
  • Familiarity with cPanel & WHM and WordPress is essential.
  • Strong grasp of programming concepts, primarily in PHP. Intermediate skills in other languages such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, Bash, and Python are a plus.
  • Basic understanding of website debugging, PHP errors, and performance troubleshooting will be a plus.
  • Experience with Docker and Magento is advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, and own customer issues until resolution.
